Paralegal

Alysia Cox

Alysia joined the firm in 2013 as a Family Law paralegal.

The whisper around the office is that I am the ‘go to person’ but I don’t get too caught up in that. My paralegal degree, business administration certificate and partially completed law degree together with 10 years’ experience in Family Law has provided me with a wealth of experience and information. I am constantly required to work independently on files as well as providing strong administrative support to all the lawyers within FLS and in particular the principal, Christopher McDevitt.

Getting to the office can sometimes feel a real feat when juggling family and work but the supportive environment FLS provides means the juggling act generally sorts itself out.

I am currently enjoying a short breather changing nappies on maternity leave and anticipate re-joining the team at FLS in early 2016.

Professional qualifications:

  • Certificate III Business Administration (Legal Services)
  • Associate Degree in Law (Paralegal studies).

I am currently studying for a Law Degree part time at Southern Cross University.
